Question 1

When will I be able to return to work or my normal routine?

Accepted Answer

Most patients return to light activities within a few days and to work within 4-7 days, depending on the extent of the procedure. Strenuous activities and heavy lifting should be avoided for 3-4 weeks.

Question 2

How long should I wear the compression garment?

Accepted Answer

We recommend wearing it continuously (except when bathing) for at least 1 month. This helps minimize swelling, support your new contours, and promote smooth results.

Question 3

Will I need a lymphatic massage after liposuction?

Accepted Answer

We start the first massage after the procedure to help get the fluids out. We recommend three times per week for one month, referring to trusted therapists for lymphatic or deep-tissue massage to reduce swelling and improve circulation.

Question 4

What kind of results can I expect, and when?

Accepted Answer

You'll start to notice changes within a few weeks, but final results typically become visible between 3 to 6 months as swelling fully resolves and tissues settle.

Question 5

How do I manage discomfort after the procedure?

Accepted Answer

Mild to moderate soreness, swelling, and bruising is common. Discomfort is typically managed with Tylenol and over-the-counter NSAIDs like Aleve or Ibuprofen.
